3D Senior Character Artist

Riot Games is seeking an exceptionally skilled 3D character artist with a passion for sculpting and character design, to join our team. As an artist, you must feel comfortable modeling and texturing a wide range of high and low-poly characters. You should have the ability to translate traditional 2D skills into a 3D workflow. Among your many attributes you are able to effortlessly create and enhance 3D characters from concept art, and understand the difference between creating characters and assembling them. You also have the ability to efficiently execute a character in a high pace and flexible pipeline.

Requirements:
• Concrete understanding of Maya, and other 3D programs
• Advanced Photoshop skills and knowledge in other 2D programs
• Comfortable with hand painted texture
• Ability to adjust ones 3D workflow, with efficiencies, and quality in mind
• Knowledgeable in human and animal anatomy
• Hard-surface modeling
• Keen-eye for light, color, value, function and silhouette
• Self-motivated team player who can take constructive criticism
• Passionate in creating and playing games, especially League of Legends!
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or equivalent

Preferred:
• Traditional art skills including sketching, illustration, painting
• Management and organization skills
• Shipped a 3D character in a AAA title
