Online Marketing Manager

That’s where you come in. As Online Marketing Manager, you’ll drive strategy for bringing new players to League of Legends. Your marketing sixth-sense will help you identify new player engagement pipelines including affiliate programs, co-marketing partnerships and player referral systems. Your analytical and entrepreneurial mind will help you identify, innovate, measure and manage successful online marketing initiatives that bring awesome player experiences to a new audience.
You are:
- Educated: you journeyed through academia on your path to online marketing mastermind, earning a BA or BS and maybe even an MBA; you’ve continued learning while you’re earning
- Experienced: you’ve been expanding your marketing playbook for at least three years, wooing customers and optimizing online marketing campaigns, preferably for gamer types like us at gaming companies like ours
- Creative: your education, experience and research inform your marketing strategy, but your imagination inspires you to devise new and unique engagement pipelines designed for our players
- Data-driven: you read trends, quantitative metrics, ROI analyses and CPA, CPC and CTR models, extracting the actionable information that you leverage for success; you’re a strategic alchemist, turning data into new insight and initiatives
- Entrepreneurial: you spot opportunities before they go mainstream, imagining and building online advertising campaigns from a ground-up ROI analysis that proves their sturdiness
- Integrative: you’re comfortable commingling and collaborating with internal groups including PR, Community and Development teams as well as their regional counterparts
- Player-focused: as a gamer yourself, you listen to players, converting implied needs into better around-game player experiences
You will:
- Collaborate with the whole Riot Games crew, including regional Rioters and international partners, on major advertising initiatives and launches
- Regularly optimize online advertising performance based on CPA, CPC, CTR and ROI models
- Collaborate with development teams to identify player pain points and smooth out the rough edges in the transition from gamer to League of Legends player
- Design, implement and oversee the affiliate marketing program to encourage other people to do the online marketing for us
- Identify, develop and manage player-focused advertising campaigns, partnering with the Business Intelligence team to define campaign effectiveness
