Senior Web Producer

As one of the most popular PC games today, League of Legends is reshaping PC gaming and core gamers perception of virtual goods.  Riot Games (named a Top 30 developer by Game Developer Magazine), the publisher and developer of League of Legends, is experiencing a period of rapid growth, doubling the size of the company in the past year.  With several million players in their first game across the US and Europe, and numerous awards (including IGN.com’s Readers' Choice for Best Multiplayer Game for League of Legends), Riot Games has pioneered new ground with their debut title and is continuing to aggressively expand.

Building on this success, Riot Games is looking for a creative and driven Senior Web Producer to help us organize and coordinate the development of a rapidly growing, community focused web team that’s at the cutting edge of technology. On the Riot Games web team you will not find yourself working on pre-packaged or pre-determined solutions, but instead collaborating with our team to identify new and creative ways to scale one of the fastest growing websites in the world.  We are self-organized, self-motivated, and the drivers of our own solutions.  

About the Job

  • Interpret customer/stakeholder needs and own the product backlog to drive product evolution
  • Orchestrate the use of agile best practices
  • Grow yourself, your management, your peers, and junior members of the team
  • Exemplify Riot values and culture and own they’re promotion within teams
  • Interface with the team to drive effective new processes and remove blocking ones
  • Drive results and accountability with multi-team projects
  • Focused on results, not hours invested
  • Play LoL and boil up feedback about the game/platform in company playtests
  • Raise visibility to senior management about goals, KPI’s, and resource allocation

Experienced with: 

  • Managing customer/stakeholder expectations
  • Prioritizing product backlogs
  • Working with multiple teams to drive goals through development planning and release
  • Managing business and technical risks
  • Maintaining a healthy team morale
  • Delivering fact-based performance metrics to senior management, positive or negative
  • Learning from failed projects
  • Anticipating the black swan

Understanding of:

  • Development processes including Agile/SCRUM and waterfall
  • Business development/growth cycles and milestones
  • Industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Human nature and interpersonal relationships 
  • You are excited about the new ideas Riot brings to the web space
  • You are legally authorized or able to obtain legal authorization to work in the US
