Edmundo Sanchez joins Riot after getting his feet wet at Double Fine where he worked on the critically acclaimed game "Psychonauts." Edmundo is addicted to coffee, sketching and really enjoys taking a breather to read a good book on Sundays. His favorite games are "Shadow of the Colossus" and the "Zelda" titles.

 

Special Ability: "Twisted Mind"

Mild mannered and extremely composed, Edmundo reaches into his subconscious and wrestles with his inner demons causing all his cute and cuddly drawing style to go berserk and mutate into the twisted concept art that the team knows and loves.

Young studied Fine Art an in Korea and the US where he received a plethora of student honors and has worked on a wide variety of animation and illustration projects all over the world - he's an international artist of mystery. In his spare time, he enjoys eating delicious soups, catching trout in the Alaskan wild, and playing short stop.

 

Special Ability: "Kimchee Addict"

Young magically summons a Tupperware jar full of Kim Chee, which upon eating causes his drawing muscles to rip through his shirt and allows him to tweak animations with the strength of 12 horses and the precision of a laser.

Class: Lead Effects Artist
Skills: Particle Accelerator +15

Troy has been doing particle effects for half of his 20 year career in the video game industry. He loves nothing more than to make things BLOW UP. Previous BLOW UP locations include Novalogic, TreyArch and Naughty Dog. His favorite games include M.U.L.E. , Civ, Heroes of Might & Magic, Diablo and Starcraft. But he has been caught secretly playing games from THIS CENTURY (*gasp*) which he claims is only to see how inferior their particles look.

 

Special Ability: "Cliff Clavin Mode"

When provoked, Troy can pull incredibly obscure and useless trivia about any subject from his posterior. Whether it's how the Himalayas are responsible for mankind walking upright or how Pirate "Pieces of Eight" evolved into the modern Peso, Troy is a wellspring of unsolicited and often undesired minutiae.

Class: Animation Lead

Alex M. Lehmann joined the RIOT team as Sr. animator from good ol' Europe (Germany). His 8+ years of experience range from games, to commercials, to big budget Hollywood movies such as Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. The companies he has worked for in the past include a few big names such as Microsoft, Volkswagen, Disney, and Sony Imageworks. As an artist, he tries to conceal the fact that he has a full-fledged engineering degree for "Audiovisual Media." He also studied at Animation Mentor, where he was mentored by Pixar's animation-ninjas to learn the art of animation. Alex is madly in love with his wife and baby daughter, animation and movies in general, and, of course, video games. As a man of faith (dedicated Christian) he loves the company of good friends over at his house.

 

Special Ability: "Imperturbable Faith"

In times of distress, when Armageddon draws near, Alex's 10sec-instant-meditation lets him grow two wings on his back that shield him from outside distraction. This allows him to focus on what's important and come up with solutions against all odds. Amongst this chaos he's able to provide numerous solutions to any problem within a matter of seconds. 

Wes Keil
Wes Keil
Class: 2D Artist

Wes was born and raised in the wilds of New Mexico. He was trained in the ways of painting and fine arts at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio and at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and CG at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood. Wes began in the entertainment industry as a Concept Designer and Illustrator at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he conceptualized elaborate new ways to make children cry. He joins Riot to fulfill his life long love of Video Games and making things that are awesome. Favorite games include: Secret of Monkey Island II, Quest for Glory series, Soul Calibur, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Splinter Cell, Baldur's Gate II, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect.

 

Special Ability: "Creative Genius"

When in a bind, Wes can start slamming his face repeatedly against his Wacom tablet until something resembling art magically appears onscreen.

Jeremy Putnam
Jeremy Putnam
Class: Associate Technical Animator
Skills: Pipeline Surfing +10

Jeremy Putnam arrived at Riot straight from college, having just completed a BFA in Computer Animation at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida. Jeremy (also known as JP) has been working in 3D Animation packages since he was 13, taking and teaching multiple classes throughout high school. At college he honed his art and gaming skills, finishing a two minute animation short while running multiple Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. Due to his constant desire to achieve a deeper understanding of the universe, Jeremy also expanded his studies to include rigging and scripting. He has created a handful of Maya tools using MEL and Python. His other skills include digital painting, musical tinkering, and philosophical debate.

 

Special Ability: "Clockwork Soul"

Combining grim logic with a passionate heart, Jeremy adds his INT stat to all art-related challenges. In addition, his insight into the needs of the art team allows him to add a +5 synergy bonus to tool scripting and other technical tasks.
