Rioters from across the company shared their knowledge at SXSW this month, spanning topics like sustainability in gaming, music and gaming, and creativity in storytelling. If you weren't able to attend in person, you can listen to the full audio from each presentation below.
“Many people think that most carbon emissions come from some of the most visible and tangible materials and events in the industry. But in reality, the majority of our industry’s emissions come from the non-visible factors in our supply chain like business travel or ad spending. If we all do our part to understand, measure, and reduce our emissions both at the company and individual levels it will make a greater impact than any of us could on our own.”

“As game platforms have gotten more innovative and entertaining, I think we’ve seen a real shift happen. When I was working on the music rights side, there weren't a lot of options. You'd be pitching for soundtracks and syncs, but there was nowhere to build immersive experiences. Now, we're in the middle of a time when the music industry is becoming more curious and flexible, and the gaming industry is now fully mainstream.”

“If you want others to connect with what you’re creating then you have to feel something when you’re making it. Being able to show your feelings is one of the things that helps you make meaning in your work. It’s important for you to figure out what you can tap into inside yourself to convey something. If you can be true to yourself you’d be surprised with how quickly it connects.”
