Riot engineers bring deep knowledge of specific technical areas but also value the opportunity to work in a variety of broader domains. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll also dive into projects that focus on team cohesiveness and cross-team objectives. You’ll lead without authority and provide other engineers with a clear illustration of exceptional engineering. You’ll be exposed to both new and current technology. All while building creative solutions to overcome high-volume obstacles and deliver positive player value.

As an engineer on the League of Legends Champions Team, you will work in a dynamic environment with a multidisciplinary team to bring new characters to life. As the champion moves from pre-production all the way to ship, you will be among the voices defining all aspects of who and what your champion is. You will discuss and define the needs of art, design, and audio in a highly collaborative environment. You will build new technology in a wide variety of game systems to meet those needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tech requirements for new League champions
  • Form relationships with content creators
  • Develop sustainable solutions, improving the engine and leaving it better than you found it
  • Help craft and build the identity of each champion

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ years game industry or media engineering experience
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with iterative development methodologies like Scrum, Agile or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with C++
  • Familiarity with tools/workflow
