As a Senior QA Manager, you will manage Quality Assurance professionals who work with software engineers, content developers, artists, project managers, and producers to create value for Players around the world. You will be guided by Riot's Test Policy to develop quality activities for every stage of the software development life cycle. Additionally, you will partner with your team leadership and other craft leaders to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems and improve delivery.

As a Senior QA Manager on the League of Legends’ Around Game initiative, you will be the vision holder for QA on the team. The Around Game initiative is focused on making the League experience enjoyable, rewarding, and welcoming for players.  With your technical and management background, you will partner with Around Game leadership to bring quality products, develop a quality assurance strategy, implement the strategy, and staff and support the quality assurance team members. You will report to the Quality Director of League of Legends PC. 


  • You will manage QA professionals on multiple teams.
  • Hire and retain qualified talent, while understanding and working with resource constraints.
  • Create measurable quality targets based on product goals, while driving visibility on progress.
  • Guide testing strategies and conduct quality activities throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Report the metrics that matter, using data to guide action.
  • Identify risks, impact, probability, and plan mitigation.
  • Hold fellow team members accountable for including quality as an essential factor in product development.
  • Help improve product pipelines and workflows.
  • Partner across departments with leadership to influence decisions.
  • You're trusted and expected to be the Voice of the Player.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years Quality Assurance Experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience implementing successful test strategies including test automation and tools.
  • Experience managing performance of embedded QA professionals.
  • Experience working with remote testing teams.
  • Experience with strategic goal setting and execution.
  • Experience working with senior leadership to manage budgets and headcount.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing managers.
  • Development experience across various platforms: PC, Mobile, Consoles
  • Experience as an SDET, Software Engineer, or QA Architect.
  • Preferred Licenses/certifications:
    • ISTQB Foundation Level
    • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST)
    • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
