Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As the Manager, Game Product Management for Monetization & Growth on the Fight for the Golden Spatula (FFGS) team, you will lead product strategy and execution for monetization and growth experiences across the game. You will turn player needs, product performance, and market insight into a clear roadmap that creates lasting value for players and supports the health of the product.

You will work closely with game development, publishing, analytics, and external development partners to shape and deliver features and content from early opportunity through launch and live operations. You will help the team define success, make informed trade-offs, and continuously improve the player experience.

You will report to FFGS's Senior Director, Game Product Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve the monetization and growth strategy for FFGS, translating player needs, community feedback, product data, and market trends into a prioritized roadmap.
  • Lead product direction and delivery for monetization systems, features, and content that let players personalize and deepen their experience with the game.
  • Set clear goals and success measures for your product area; monitor performance and player sentiment, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements that balance sustainable product outcomes with player trust and enjoyment.
  • Partner with development, publishing, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to align on product requirements, priorities, trade-offs, and delivery plans.
  • Guide planning and execution across development and live operations, helping teams manage backlogs, resolve risks, and deliver against the roadmap.
  • Build strong working relationships with external development and publishing partners, aligning teams around shared goals and effective execution.
  • Represent monetization and growth in FFGS product discussions, bringing a player-focused perspective to broader product and business decisions.
  • Coach and mentor product team, manage the relationship with development partners, sharing product-management craft and supporting strong decision-making across the team and partners.
  • Stay current on player behavior and market developments in game monetization, social experiences, and growth; use those insights to inform FFGS's direction.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in game product management, game development, or a related discipline, with a track record of shaping product strategy and delivering game features or experiences.
  • Experience translating player and business needs into product roadmaps, clear requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing others, and influencing cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change.
  • Experience working with external development or publishing partners.
  • Experience with Agile ways of working, including roadmap planning, prioritization, and managing product or team backlogs.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
  • A strong understanding of player-centered game development and the ability to balance commercial goals with a positive player experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience playing FFGS and other autobattler games, with a strong understanding of the genre and its systems.
  • Experience in monetization, player growth, or live-service product management.
  • Experience working on a co-developed game product or with an external development partner.
  • Experience operating a live game service and using player data, research, and community feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Fluency in English.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!
