As a Software Engineer I, you will work on foundational systems and features that power a new R&D gameplay experience. You’ll join a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and producers focused on building scalable, performant, and user-centric solutions. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are eager to learn and contribute in a high-impact, collaborative environment. You will report to the Engineering Manager of your team.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain software systems with guidance from senior engineers
- Contribute to the development and testing of client, backend, and tooling features
- Participate in code reviews and apply engineering best practices
- Debug and resolve development issues in collaboration with teammates
- Write clear documentation to support team knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in professional software development
- Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn new systems and tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine or other game engines
- Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git
- Exposure to multiplayer systems, content pipelines, telemetry, or build systems
- Proficiency with Go and/or backend microservices
