FAQs

  • Which graduating classes are eligible to apply?

Candidates need to complete their Masters or MBA before the program starts in the summer.

  • Is prior work experience required?

Yes! In addition to meeting the Master’s/MBA requirement, candidates must have 3+ years of experience in the following areas: Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Product Management, Product Strategy or Partnerships.

  • What are we looking for in a candidate for our MBA Rotational Program?

In addition to the pre-requisite of having an MBA, we are looking for candidates who uphold and care about our values. Your focus should be on putting players first, not simply maximizing revenue.

  • When do applications for the MBA program open and close?

Applications open in October and will remain open until January. Please check the Job Description for the exact close date.

  • If chosen, when does the program start?

The program will begin each year in the summer.

  • Are these positions paid?

Yes, all participants chosen for the program will receive a competitive salary. The job posting will contain more information on the specific compensation for the role.

  • Is Riot’s MBA Rotational Program remote, hybrid, or in-office?

Over the course of this two-year program, participants will follow our flexible, in-office policy. Participants will be asked to come into the office on a regular basis to ensure they can interface directly with leadership, are able to determine the area of focus that is best suited for their skills, and to align with the higher expectations of in-office time asked of our leaders.

  • Where is Riot’s MBA Rotational Program located?

At this time, this is a US-based program and participants will operate out of our global headquarters in Los Angeles. If chosen for this program, participants will receive relocation assistance to bring them to Los Angeles.

  • Is the MBA Rotational Program available in other Riot offices besides Los Angeles?

As of right now, no. We launched this program in 2026 and are constantly evaluating its impact to determine if future expansion makes sense. If we do expand this program to other offices, those expansions will be communicated on this page and on our LinkedIn.

  • What will I be doing in a Game Product Management or Corporate Strategy rotation?

Both groups perform internal and external analyses, make insightful recommendations, implement strategies and design solutions to ultimately develop products that address complex business issues to achieve company goals. Where the groups differ is how the work is applied.

Game Product Managers are focused on complex issues alleviating player pain points in our games. Corporate Strategy Associates are focused on how Riot operates, ensuring that we’re making the right choices at the right times to deliver for players.

  • What happens when the two year program ends?

We created this program with the goal of bringing new leaders into Riot from a well-qualified talent pool. Given the two-year investment, our intention is for participants to convert directly into full-time Rioters when the program ends. With that said, conversion will ultimately depend on personal performance and business need at the end of the program.

  • How large is each cohort for this program?

We are hiring 4 participants for the program this year. Program cohorts are intentionally kept small to ensure participants are able to drive key projects during their two-year window while also ensuring there are fits within Riot for successful performers to convert to full-time Rioters after the program is completed.

  • What leadership development is included?

Participants in this program will interface direction with game team, discipline, and executive leaders during their work. In addition, they will have access to a variety of L&D offerings available to all full-time Rioters.
