Senior Manager, Game Production, Distributed Development - VALORANT

Riot Games in Sydney is looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to join the Sydney-based VALORANT group. VALORANT is Riot’s take on a character-based tactical shooter (for more info on VALORANT click here!).
As a Senior Manager, Game Production, you will lead and grow Riot Sydney’s production craft across several VALORANT studio initiatives. You’ll work closely with producers, product managers, and cross-discipline leaders to guide teams from feature conception through launch and live operations. Your leadership will help ensure that teams align with product vision, deeply understand player and customer needs, and consistently deliver at a high-quality bar.
You’ll report to the Sydney Studio Director of Operations VALORANT studio and collaborate across multiple areas to support distributed co-development efforts between Sydney-based teams and partners in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and grow team-level producers' craft and capabilities
- Drive strategic work alignment between area and project objectives
- Provide essential product feedback and insight to the team and leadership
- Accountable for the evolution of the Sydney hub production craft
- Each team has a predictable and measurable capacity to work through
- Ensure team health, culture, and efficiency
- Elevate our Co-development distributed environment
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in software/game development
- 4+ years in a leadership position
- 4+ years of direct people management experience
- Experience leading teams through feature development (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and frameworks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders across disciplines and time zones.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in game development, live service operations, or related entertainment fields.
- Experience in creating metrics and data-driven improvement processes
- Agile certifications concerning scaling Scrum and Kanban methodology
- Proven ability to work using established prioritization methods
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Experience fostering collaboration across distributed global teams.
