Head of Live-Action Studio

Brian Wright

Brian Wright is the Head of Riot’s Live-Action studio where he helps bring the stories, characters, and worlds of Riot’s games to life. Since joining Riot in 2021, he’s been the creative force behind Riot’s film, television, and animation work including the Emmy-award winning Netflix animated series Arcane

Before joining Riot, Brian spent seven years helping build Netflix’s original series. He led the company into new content spaces while working on titles like Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Umbrella Academy, Sweet Tooth, and Fuller House. Brian also managed Ryan Murphy’s overall deal before creating a new team that oversaw all overall series deals including Shonda Rhimes, the Duffer Brothers, the Obamas, and more.

He was instrumental in helping build Netflix’s production studio, spent seven years helping develop Nickelodeon at Viacom, and was named one of Hollywood’s LGBTQ power players by the Hollywood Reporter.

When he isn’t bringing groundbreaking shows to viewers around the world, Brian masquerades as a ski coach and swim instructor for his kids, two of his life passions. When not swimming laps or carving powder, he can be found on Summoners Rift as a ride or die Miss Fortune main. And true to his TV and Film routes, he loves sharing movies of the 80's with his kids and their friends.
