Sarah Schutz
Sarah Schutz is the Head of Global Publishing, leading teams that build community, content, and experiences around our games. These teams include product management, brand, creative, comms, and community.
For more than a decade, Sarah has helped uphold our commitment to making it better to be a player, with a passion for helping serve players in new and evolving ways as we bring new games and experiences into the world. In that time, she’s held various roles across product and brand management, communications, and corporate strategy. Before coming to Riot, Sarah worked in journalism and advertising after studying journalism and English at Northwestern University.
She played a key role in leading our global publishing efforts for League of Legends’ 10-year anniversary, a milestone moment that unveiled our slate of upcoming games and first revealed Arcane to players around the world. She also helped shape the strategy for Arcane’s launch, bringing together players and new audiences in celebration of Runeterra.
Sarah is always playing games. She is constantly rotating between a deep RPG, a strategy game, some fun indie game, and, of course, a Riot game (currently TFT). When she’s not playing games, she’s either reading, running, birdwatching, or all of those at once. She currently resides in Echo Park, CA, with her partner, their four cats (Catastrophe Wizard, Princess Buttercup, Schrödinger, and Lucifer), and two dogs (Úlfur and Maleficent).
