International Medical Corps

What they do

Founded in 1984, International Medical Corps provides training and delivers emergency health care and related services to those affected by conflict, natural disaster, and disease no matter where they are, no matter what the conditions.

International Medical Corps trains people in their communities, providing them the skills needed to recover, chart their own path to self-reliance and become effective First Responders themselves.

How we're helping

Since 2015, Riot has “forward funded” our disaster relief each year with International Medical Corps to support disaster relief efforts all over the world. Research has shown that the first 72 hours after a natural disaster are the most critical for saving lives, rebuilding infrastructure, and delivering aid. Yet, we saw that if we reactively donated to support disaster relief, our aid would not go to reach those in need until a few weeks after tragedy struck.

Through this forward funding approach, Riot is able to release funding support to International Medical Corps and deliver support to the front line of service typically within 24 - 48 hours anywhere in the world.
