As a QA Engineer Intern, you will work with numerous disciplines to drive quality ownership across the software development life cycle, as well as helping to establish and execute team wide quality goals. It will be important for you to protect the player experience and deliver results in a high pressure, agile development environment. You will report to the QA manager for this team.

Summoners Rift Team

As a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern for the Summoner’s Rift Team you will work with artists, designers, engineers, and product managers in order to maintain and improve the Summoner’s Rift experience. You will be primarily accountable for the quality of League of Legends gameplay balance patches and other features pertaining to the core Summoner’s Rift experience. You will also ensure the execution of all test coverage within your projects, including creating test plans, validating designs, highlighting risks to quality, and partnering with external QA teams. 

Game Analysis Team

As a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern for the League of Legends Game Analysis Team, you’ll apply your high level understanding of micro and macro decisions in League to improve the competitive game experience. This specific team requires Diamond 1+ ranked solo or duo queue experience. You’ll be providing actionable feedback, communicating how effectively a change does or does not accomplish a specific goal and consider the different perspectives between tiers of players when feedbacking champions and mechanics. 

TFT Cosmetics Team

As a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern on the Teamfight Tactics Cosmetics Team, you’ll partner with producers, art, design, engineering and production in TFT to ensure quality bars are met. You’ll work with cross collaborative teams to understand requirements, determine gaps and work with vendor managed QA teams in development and execution of test cases. 

General Responsibilities:

  • Triage, monitor, and prioritize the defect database
  • Improve on methods of test execution at the team-level
  • Provide feedback on content and code being developed
  • Collaborate with different disciplines in order to push quality upstream
  • Author test plans and oversee the execution of test coverage

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college, university or non degree program
  • Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 week at our Los Angeles Headquarters (subject to change based on COVID-19 restrictions)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrably strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrably strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Comfortable with deep-dive investigations and testing technical implementations.
