As a Release Manager at Riot you will be joining one of our teams responsible for updating and deploying our games across the globe. Release Managers are responsible for improving the product delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset using both process and technology at your disposal. You understand what fuels games as a live service and have a passion to improve the experience for internal developers getting content out the door, and more importantly, the players. You’re a communication expert able to craft efficient and clear messages to any size group or situation. You’ll wrangle process and organize teams to keep momentum building, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement across the organization. 

As a Release Manager II on Anti-Cheat, you will report to the Technical Product Manager. You will be involved with improving Anti-Cheat’s delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset, using both process and technology at your disposal. You understand live services, what fuels games, and the importance of protecting them. You have a passion to improve the experience for internal developers getting content out the door, and more importantly, to the players. You're a communication expert able to create efficient and clear messages to any size group or situation. You'll wrangle processes and organize a team to keep momentum building, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement across the organization. Riot Anti-Cheat is a versatile team passionate about their craft. We understand the player impact of cheating in games and are focused on setting the highest bar for the integrity of multiplayer games.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams across your Product’s organization to drive strategic initiatives aimed at building both the best tech and process required so that we can deliver anti-cheat seamlessly to our players. 
  • Promote and spread the release culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the entire organization.
  • Bridge the gap between development and operations by facilitating discussions and making decisions that improve the live service and our players.
  • Engage with product teams to review their product release protocols and provide consultation on how we can prevent and reduce player pain.
  • Improve upon the deployment and release process across all of Anti-Cheat. Analyzing data and trends, you will work with teams to accomplish major goals on both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Work with all partners across Riot to establish best practices and Service level agreements for the live operation of our game.
  • Be able to operate the Vanguard release and deployment process as needed, managing the pipeline to ensure that we are delivering the best global player experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience releasing and operating software as a service
  • Excellent teamwork and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with Agile teams and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience developing operational processes from the ground up

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure Operations or SRE
  • Experience releasing systems/services that operate at global scale
  • Experience releasing and operating games as a service
  • Familiarity with the Windows and releasing drivers or hardware

  • (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $102,000.00 - $143,200.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
