We see you out there on the internet, showing off your strats and talking a big game, but are you ready to put your coins where your comp is? The Riot Gauntlet is a two day contest of skill and well-intended smack-talk as we pit global players against each other AND a crack team of Rioters across all of our games. The winners will be richly rewarded with bragging rights and the ability to put portions of a $100,000 prize pool towards a charitable cause of their choice.

Key Details

  • The Riot Gauntlet will take place on November 19th and 20th at Riot’s Undercity Nights event in Los Angeles.

  • Eight captains from around the world will build multi-talented teams of six to compete in a Round Robin-style tournament featuring League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, VALORANT, Hextech Mayhem, and an on-site surprise brought to you by Aim Lab.

  • Each team will choose a charitable cause on the GlobalGiving platform (www.globalgiving.org) or an accredited US based charity (501c3) to play for.

  • Winning matches will increase a team’s overall take home from the total prize pool, while losing matches will… also still increase a team’s overall take home from the total prize pool, just by less. We’re all here to do some good.

Format

Beginning at 4:30pm PT on November 19th, player teams will face off against each other across three rounds. Five out of six team members will play the round’s primary game, while the sixth member (the real hero) will play that round’s bonus game for additional opportunities to up their prize pool. The November 19th rounds break down as follows:

  • Round 1: League of Legends & Teamfight Tactics
  • Round 2: VALORANT & Legends of Runeterra
  • Round 3: League of Legends & Hextech Mayhem

Beginning at 1:00pm PT On November 20th, the main event begins. Our captains will put aside their differences to face off against the true villains: Riot’s balance teams. Instead of a team of generalists, Riot will be offering up multiple rosters of our best, brightest, and definitely-not-boosted across three rounds to put our players to the test. At stake will be the last portion of the prize pool to split between their causes. The November 20th rounds break down as follows:

  • Round 1: VALORANT + an event minigame brought to you by Aim Lab
  • Round 2: Teamfight Tactics & Legends of Runeterra
  • Round 3: League of Legends & Hextech Mayhem

How to watch

Riot Gauntlet will be broadcast live by Riot on Twitch and YouTube and will be stream-enabled for player teams, so you’ll be able to watch and cheer on your favorites at any time.

Good competition, good games, AND a good cause? That sounds like a win to us. So bring your best, we’ll bring ours. It’s time to get the first Riot Gauntlet started.
